چکیده
A polyethylenimine-impregnated hierarchical silica monolith exhibited significantly higher CO(2) capturing capacity than other silica-supported amine sorbents, and produced a reversible and durable sorption performance.

Pentaethylenehexamine-Loaded Hierarchically Porous Silica for CO2 Adsorption
Recently, amine-functionalized materials as a prospective chemical sorbent for post combustion CO₂ capture have gained great interest. However, the amine grafting for the traditional MCM-41, SBA-15, pore-expanded MCM-41 or SBA-15 supports can cause the pore volume and specific surface area of sorbents to decrease, significantly affecting the CO₂ adsorption-desorption dynamics. To overcome this ...
متن کاملCarbon Dioxide Capture by Modified UVM-7 Adsorbent
In this study, bimodal meso-porous silica (UVM-7) synthesized and fabricated amino silane modified supports were characterized by powder X-ray diffraction (XRD), N2 adsorption/desorption, transmission electron microscope (TEM), elemental analysis and titration. Capacity of CO2 capture on modified bimodal pore structure silica at 70°C was calculated using breakthrough curves; and it was found th...
متن کاملWet impregnation of a commercial low cost silica using DETA for a fast post-combustion CO2 capture process
This work presents an economic and simple method to manufacture low cost, but effective adsorbents for CO2 capture through impregnating DETA to a low cost, porous silica gel. The results have demonstrated that the low cost silica gel impregnated by low molecular-weight amine is stable and work very well at a temperature up to 130 C. The developed adsorbent has a fast adsorption kinetics and can...

A series of high-capacity, amine impregnated sorbents based on a cost-effective silica foam with ultralarge mesopores is reported. The sorbents exhibit fast CO2 capture kinetics, high adsorption capacity (of up to 5.8 mmol g 1 under 1 atm of dry CO2), as well as good stability over multiple adsorption– desorption cycles. A simple theoretical analysis is provided relating the support structure t...
متن کاملDevelopment of New Potassium Carbonate Sorbent for CO2 Capture under Real Flue Gas Conditions
In this paper, the development of a new potassium carbonateon alumina support sorbent prepared by impregnating K2CO3 with an industrial grade of Al2O3 support was investigated. The CO2 capture capacity was measured using real flue gas with 8% CO2 and 12% H2O in a fixed-bed reactor at a temperature of 65 °C using breakthrough curves. The developed sorbent showed an adsorption capacity of 66.2 mg...
